About Craig Kiddoo

I am a CPA from Central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 1990, and took employment with Martin, Hood & Associates, LLP (a local CPA firm) where I worked for seven years. In 1997 I earned my CNE-3, and was named manager of Martin, Hood & Associates Computer Consulting Division. In 1998 I changed my position and started a career with Health Services Consultants (a medium sized health care provider) as controller/MIS administrator where I worked until October 2001. Currently I am employed as Assistant Director for Fiscal Affairs for The University of Illinois Alumni Association.

I am married with four children and enjoy music, automobiles and my pets. My wife's name is Diane and my favorite music group is Yes. I have seen Yes perform 8 times between 1979 and 2000. Currently I have a 1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 that serves as my project car, and a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Cartier for daily driving. My family has numerous pets, birds, fish, and cats.

I have four kids...but for safety sake, do not wish to divulge their personal information on my home page.

I have always been a car fanatic. My first car was a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass XS Convertible sporting 3.55 gears and a 455 big block. Although I was unable to make the mods I wanted to the car before I sold it, it was one of the faster cars around at the time. When I was 18, I bought a new 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z...biggest mistake of my life, should have kept the Olds. The Turbo Z (2.2 4 cyl Turbo, FWD) had one of the best suspensions I have ever enjoyed, especially on rough surfaces. However, that was the only redeeming quality of the car. In three years of ownership, and only 42,000 miles (thank god Chrysler had the 5/50 warranty at the time) the transmission was replaced (that's right replaced, not rebuilt) three times, the clutch cable was replaced four times. In addition there were numerous other repairs, and the air conditioning never got cool enough to do a bit of good (although when tested it tested OK according to the mechanics who worked on it). Lost a lot of money when I sold the car in favor of a V-Max in 1986. I was married a short time later, and had to put my interest in cars on hold (my daughter was born soon after). From 1986 - 1993 I had to resign myself to driving a couple different Ford Escorts. At least they were dependable. I had always wanted a Mustang LX 5.0, from about 1984, but could never justify the cost of ownership. In 1993 when I found out that Ford was restyling the Mustang, I decided that I had to have a '93 at all costs. Bought my '93 new in August of 1993, and drove it daily for 5 years until it was paid for. During this time the only mods that I was able to do were 3.73 gears, K&N Air Filter, and a little bit of tuning. My plan had always been to build up the car to the point that it can run a 10 second quarter mile (about the same as the V-Max). After I paid off the car last fall, I purchased a used Town Car for daily driving (why not drive in comfort?). The money I am saving on car payments is finally allowing me to modify my Mustang.
